Playing the part of the robot named David is Michael Fassbender, following in the footsteps of his Alien universe counterparts Ian Holm (as the robot Ash) and Lance Henriksen (as the robot Bishop). The most striking part of the video is when the robot is asked what makes it sad and it answers, "War, poverty, cruelty, unnecessary violence." Wait, "unnecessary" violence? If Alien history is any guide, we shouldn't let those tears fool us, this android is capable of anything.
This latest video of CryENGINE 3.4.0 with revamped DirectX 11 support shows what kinds of eye candy we have to look forward to in Crysis 3. If you've played the original Crysis, you know that it's substantially better than real life, and Crysis 3 promises to utterly blow real life out of the hyper-realistic water.
Improvements to this version of CryENGINE (which is the foundation for games that don't exist yet like Crysis 3 and MechWarrior Online) include improved rendering of skin and eyes, better glass and water effects, fancier interaction between light and particles, and lots of other stuff that doesn't really sound all that impressive until you see it in action in the demo vid below.
"The Solar System - Explore your backyard" is a highly immersive application that illustrates rather well the vastness of the world around us. Information regarding planets, constellations and countries are available at the click of a button, and in a fashion rarely seen. Rather than simply telling you the facts, I find that it's easier to show you; This means that instead of just reading about the gravitational pull or cross section of a planet, you get to view it in 3D in real time.

Whenever a TV product commercial plays I bust a gut during the parts where they show us what we're doing wrong and why we need the product.
This is my tribute to the hilarious work the actors in these infomercials do. I considered editing this to epic music like O Fortuna or Benny Hill being the obvious choice, but settled on "Help!" because I thought it fit better and also musically had more variation which is good for editing punctuations and beats.
