The thing about Ed was he tried to turn the entire of TAN into the Ed Roberts show. And he succeeded, and it was tedious, and I'm glad he's gone.

Indeed, it's a shame that Anime has almost been completely ruined by its own fan base.
I'm starting to think Haruhi Suzumiya was the last chopper out of Saigon back in 2006.

Elfen lied is just hyperviolence and mild porn mashed together in a Moe package of gratuitous fantasy wish fulfillment for lonely weirdos. Whereas Cowboy Bebop is a well recognised classic.

As for Bebop I'm going to contend what most people believe and say that the storyline is actually poorly written episodic nonsense that panics and rushes about tying up loose ends as the series comes to a close. However the characters, artwork and designs are great, but what stands out about this show the most is the music which is probably some of the best and most fitting I have ever seen put to anything.
