Perhaps human beings (or most of them) cannot cope with the awareness of their own absurd existence and must be given an external purpose, a God thing to give their lives meaning. Not saying its good or bad, but God might be a necessary part of intelligence and self awareness so we may not go collectively insane. Some would argue that by believing in God one already is insane. I think that that passive (mostly) belief for most people is better than the anxiety, depression, and eventual violence that would ensue because of human beings mentally incapable of realizing the true extent of the absurdity of our shared existence.

Yeap we do not know indeed. If anything we know less than 10% of the functions of the genes we have discovered so far, and the genes we have discovered are but a fraction of the human genome, the rest of it we have no freaking clue about its functions.

If it were you or I Fido, the first thing you do when you owe a fuck-ton of money is sell the extra car, sell the vacation home, bring your lunch to work, get a second job etc. etc.....you don't go and borrow money to put into things like municipal bonds or stock and hope and pray that you will make money off them. You see....that is called GAMBLING. That is NOT fiscal responsibility.....

Eventually the bubble will completely burst. The Obama stimulus is just another administration's act of passing the buck onto the next guy so that he does not get tabbed in history as the president who allowed America to regress tremendously (perhaps to its natural level?). If we did not spray money with a hose all over the country, as we did with the "stimulus", perhaps the economy would have been devastated. Perhaps not. But, I do know that by holding off the inevitable crash, we are only increasing and severity of the crash. Maybe we needed to reset. Instead of pushing the devastation back for a decade, or a generation, and increasing the severity, maybe Obama should take one to his reputation and allow a less-severe, albeit still horrible economic time, happen on his watch.
