mmateri, the point in links is that they are supposed to be news stories, or stories of interest, not personal points of view which is what blogs are. That is why there is a BLOG section, so people know they can go there to read people's views/own content, and go to the links section for actual news stories.

Lol, thanks dude, after a quick skim I wouldn't say the blog was overly complex to be honest. I can see a few places where I could have made things a lil easier and clearer, but compared to some of the shit I had to read/write in my final year this is nothing.

Plato said that we are able to transcend these boundaries through dialectic study in which we could come to know the forms (what exist outside the cave). If you look at the analogy of the divided line this is the list of how to best achieve knowledge of the forms.

Population trimming is required mainly because the birth rate exceeds the death rate now we are living longer and have birth aids like IVF etc. This means that economically there is a potential problem as the amount of people claiming state pensions and the like start to increase without any of the old fuckers dying. It also means that areas become more densley populated, more pollution because of this etc etc.
