Abjects Invades Shoutwire

Yes you heard right.  Although most of you are not involved in IRC it remains a big part of Shoutwire.  As with all aspects of a site.  When one is compromised the whole suffers.  This means the forums also.  I'm looking at you Mixxie.

Now I can see how an outsider may stumble upon this channel and think, "wow, these dudes are fucking pricks." 

Well it is not necessarily the case.  You see being a News site ideas require free reign.  Offense is tolerated even when at the expense of peoples feelings, religion, or race.  Shoutwire strives to be an uncensored environment.  This all changed when an editor recieved significant abuse.  I even thought it was wrong.  The events that occured after though were no less wrong. 

The offended party proceeded to befriend staff that were connected to Abjects IRC server.  One of Shoutwires editors was banned from the entire server based on a lie.  "Dvast," lied to Abjects staff.  Wrongfully stating that J3ff had Given out a Shoutwire Editors home address.  He had not.  So J3ff was banned for something that never happened.  Although I think he acted like a dick I also think acting like a dick is someones right.  So no matter what as far as I saw he never broke any of the Servers rules.  It is even one of the Abjects rules that staff shall not get involved in channel disputes.  It more seemed that the offended party was acting like Cartmans mom.

So now we are a ways from the unpleasantness.  Yet now we are still plagued by those who would censor us without understanding us.  That is the main problem. 

You may ask why I am doing this?  Well I like to think it is because I believe in free speach and whatnot, but I have come to realize that I am hardly so noble.  Really it is just a case of sour grapes.  It finally came to a head a while ago when, "Hotstuff," another spy said she would bann me if given Ops.  So HuggyHuggyKissKissyZERO in his infinite stupidity gave her Ops.  She banned me from Shoutwire.  Then later she likely contacted her Abjects friends who banned me from the entire server.  So I do this as a big Fuck You.  We do not need or want outside moderation of Shoutwire.

The channel this comes from is #paniked.  On that channel you get kicked for almost anything.  You are expected to act like it's a restaurant I suppose.

Also some may say I knew nothin aboot this so I have no responsibility.  Well you do.  You have the responsibility to say STOP doing shit in my name.

For an example you can understand.  If the US Military attacked a group of Shiites and then claimed that Sunni informants had told them that Al Queda operatives were in the group wrongfully.  Well the Sunnis would be pissed.  It would be a case of the US trying to pass their action onto someone else.  It would work to if the Sunnis did not vehemently oppose the US claim.  If they did not stand up and tell the US to stop doing shit in their name then it would seem as if they were a part of it.

Either way though.  I think the Shoutwire IRC channel should become SHoutwires again, and let the policing and underhanded spying stop.  To those that think they are hotshit or hotstuff for blocking people.  Visit the channel sometime and learn what it's really aboot.
