A blog my friend made years ago after the tragic and missed death of Heath Ledger, the legendary tittymasta.

I hate how everybody is making such a big deal over the death of this guy. Honestly, I've never heard so many people claiming to love him and claiming to be ultra fans of his work untill he died. Of course some people thought he was mega hot and sexy and thought he was a good actor BUT not until he died did people start raving on about how amazing he was. And to cry over the death of a celebrity is completely absurd. Sure, it's sad. The poor guy died before his time, but did you know him on a personal level?
NO. Did you know his family? Did you know his friends? WERE you his friend? No. That's like crying because a leaf fell off a tree. The guy apparently stated less than three months ago that he was struggling with his role as "psychopathic, mass-murdering, schizophrenic Joker" in Batman. This made him restless and he could barely sleep. So he took sleeping pills which didn't work, then he took more, didn't work. Apparently he overdosed on fucking sleeping pills and died. Who the fuck overdoses on sleeping pills? I mean you gotta be pretty stupid to take so many pills that you OD. That has to be a shitload of pills... I mean yea, I feel sorry for the guy and for his family. They're probably going thru a fucking hard ass time right now, but I'm not sad and crying. Maybe if I knew him I would be sadder. But it's like hearing on the news that a man was found dead in his appartment. You don't cry because of that. Though as soon as a celebrity dies, everybody cries and sobs. And do you want to know why?
Because it's an excuse for everybody to pretend like they care. It's all for attention. If you really cared, you would be crying every single time you stepped outside and saw a homeless person, or every time you turned on the news, or every time you heard that children in third world countries are starving and dying. Those children are a little more important than Heath Ledgers oh-so stressful life yet you hold his death above them. Seriously, next time somebody brings up his death and how devastating it is I'm going to laugh in their face and not stop untill they leave the room.

I thought this blog deserved another read since the site he posted it on it got like 3 views, because what he says is completely true to all celebrity deaths. Celebrities are not gods of mankind. They are human beings.
