Just a short rant aimed at the quality of services in modern America.

Yesterday morning, as I do every day, I called in my parts order to cover the jobs I had scheduled that day. The order taker processed the part numbers, checked inventory then placed the order to the servicing warehouse for delivery. I began my usual day. I determined the order of the jobs I had to do based on how long they would take, probable times of parts delivery and promised completion times. The shop was full.The vehicles had been dismantled up to the point of awaiting replacement parts.

I waited. I screwed off on TAN for a bit. I waited.

When the usual delivery time came and passed, I called back to the order center to confirm the order had been processed. They assured me it had and that the driver was just running late as does happen on occasion.  I waited.

The phone was ringing. "Is my car ready?"  "Not yet, I'm sorry, the parts should be here any minute and I'll finish it up as soon as possible."  I waited.

Finally, I called back again. After "holding" for 10 minutes, the service rep sheepishy admitted that it seems no one had picked the order and that they would place it on the next truck for delivery mid afternoon. That wouldn't do.  By this time, my customers were beginning to lose faith in my services. All that was left was to add another hour by picking up the parts ourselves. Everything ultimately got done in a mad frenzy although I had some explaining to do in the process. I'm not sure everyone believed me or that I would have accepted the story myself.

I saw the parts driver later in the day when he delivered a second order. I asked him what happened. He said things like that have been occurring far too often since the old manager was fired. He mentioned a group of employees had petitioned the head office to have him removed as he was apparently abusive in demanding they do their jobs. He said, basically now they don't feel a need to and the place is a cluster fuck.

To me, it seems in today's economy the last thing a business owner can afford to do is to lose a customer. I know I can't. Yet these dickholes haven't the slightest concern they're fucking with someone else's livelihood.

I suppose the point is, particularly when the economy is bad and so many people complain they can't find jobs that many who have one are content not to do it.

Makes no sense. Is this the NWO?
