I have sonicstage for my old sony MZ-N710 MD player installed,
and when I go to transfer all the music i have it says it can't because it has already been recorded..
Unable to transfer the following tracks to My Library because they are recorded
by Net MD or another computer.

I used to use Sonicstage when i had my old Sony Walkman stick, and I noticed that if you backup all your music before you reformat and install OS, Sonicstage won't let you transfer your music because it's technically "not the same computer" (System SID's don't match). So, I had to wipe it and retransfer everything.
I'd just say retransfer it all to be safe.
If sony pulls that bullshit that you can't transfer because you don't own the files (not the same SID/Computer) shove that Sony product in the garbage and go out and buy some non-DRM Mp3 player.

U2 came with it.. i bought the player and about 5md's (rest were blank) off a mate in 04, and i dumped my music on the other discs.
been out of the country for 5 years and found it buried in a box somewhere.

Athough if it'll play through sonicstage you could try using something that can just whatevers going through your soundcard, such as audacity, but that will be very slow and a bit hectic.

Or alternatively try updating your SonicStage, they removed some of the restrictions in version 3. I love the whole idea of MD, but as usual Sony fucks it up with DRM and whatnot.
