I highly doubt you've actually ever seen afghan kush grown in mexico, it's better than the shit grown in aghan-land. The shit was flooded in this area for about 6 months earlier this year, and it was a hell of a lot better than the bullshit from the US that isn't worth the money you pay for it.
I'd also question why you'd say US has best quality of weed when, really, you've only got one state growing it, and the rest are all just a bunch of backyard hydroponic rigs that either fail or get busted. There's really only three sources of weed in America : California. Mexico, and Canada (BC, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia) and imported garbage from overseas that was probably based on something in North America anyways.
Meanwhile in Canada, we don't buy your garbage Cali bunk crops, it's over rated, over priced, and far underwhelming in terms of quality. BC and Mexico FTFW!

Dispute over right to use the name
Anheuser-Busch cites prior registration of the trademark in the US and battles for the right to use it worldwide in many legal disputes against the Europe-based companies in several countries.[2] The Europeans wish to maintain or regain their right to market their beer under their traditional trademark. Bürgerbräu has marketed its beer as Budweiser Bier since 1876, while Budvar has marketed its product this way since 1895. The two companies in České Budějovice point out that Budweiser is not a generic name, but refers to a beer actually made in the city.
The existence of several beers with similar names has caused problems in some markets. In 1907 the US and Czech brewers made an agreement that Anheuser-Busch could market its beer as Budweiser only in North America, while the Czech brewers had the rights to the European markets. Anheuser-Busch markets its product as "Bud" (in France and elsewhere) and "Anheuser-Busch B" (in Germany, Austria and Switzerland),[2] where the beer brewed in the original city retains the rights to the name. The United Kingdom is one of the few places where both Anheuser-Busch and Budvar beer are sold under the name "Budweiser."
In 2007 Anheuser-Busch signed a deal with Budějovický Budvar, the maker of the Czech Republic's Budweiser, to import Budvar Budweiser into the United States and sell it under the name Czechvar.[3][4]
In 2009 the European Court of First Instance upheld a ruling that refuses AB InBev, owners of the US Budweiser brand, permission to register the Budweiser brand as a community trademark.[5][6] After the ruling, AB InBev decided to keep the Budweiser or Bud name in 23 of 27 European countries. In the U.K., courts have ruled that neither company has exclusive rights in the name Budweiser.[7][8] In Germany, Budvar has exclusive control over the Budweiser brand name since May 2009.[6] According to the verdict of Court of Justice of the European Union in July 2010, Budweiser Budvar has exclusive control over the Budweiser brand name in the whole European Union.[9][10]
According to the UK Budweiser Budvar website, "Currently [in 2011] there are about 40 trademark dispute cases pending in different jurisdictions and some 70 procedural issues up for consideration around the world"[11].
From the 2011-12 season, Budweiser (Anheuser-Busch) sponsored FA Cup. Therefore, the tournament title will be The FA Cup with Budweiser until 2014[12].

middle men go for potential markup/convenience. US weed is pricier than Mex and not as convenient as local canadian weed. though why you would want to send weed to canadia's tiny market is beyond me. can't undercut the locals unless you have mexican weed, and it's ALL the way up there..... where it's all cold and shit.

Middle also go for quality, because as you know, people stop supplying through peopel that provide shit product. They stay away from American grown crops not because of the price (it's not much higher than Mexican Shwag), but because of the bullshit quality that can't get a motherfucker high.
Tiny Market. Lo-Fucking-l
For having less than 1/4 of the population of the US, Canada recieved the World Drug Report from the UN Marijuana Consumption per Populace award in the Western Hemisphere, because, well, we're basically a nation of stoners. We were only beaten out on a global scale by Ghana, Zambia, and Papua New Ghinea, not even you sober squares down south could touch us.
Still think it's a small market? Why is there such huge import from Mexico and some from the States if it is so "small"? Why do we require 3 provinces to grow our pot to sustain our population and still require imported pot? Sustainability? Jokes from the sailor thread aside, your ignorance is astounding. I know where I get my herb from, and it's either grown in ops in Ontario or Southern Quebec, or BC. I don't buy imported shit unless it's Kush from Meheeccccooooo, cause that shit is sweet enough to pass up BC Hydroponics anyday, and BC is world-renowned so that's saying something about Mexican goodies.

also canada's adult lifetime cannabis use was measured for 15+ years of age as 44%... the states' only measured after 18+ years of age and were still a close second at 42%... i'd be interested to see their numbers if you included the american 15-18 demographic.
very generally speaking, unless we can get some of mexico's very best, and definitely in part because of our geographic location, we grow and smoke our own. and should be happy with that status quo. BC bud would suffer if, say, california followed through on its legalization bill... we'd fall into an american-based supply-and-demand rollercoaster with applicable transportation and tax issues to boot. prices would only be the beginning of the problems. our market would be tinier than ever.

Sorry to have you fact checking Jeux, it wasn't my end game. You're too good at it.
I was literally taking a long-winded stab at Mac's sustainability theory from the other thread regarding oil. If we can sustain our "tiny market", why do we have to buy from 2 countries and still import from overseas? It's a pretty big market if total grow-ops across canada, which there is MANY outside of the main grow provinces (BC, Ontario, Quebec) can't sustain our 16.8% populace prevalence and we still have to import as much as we grow (yeah, we export a huge chunk of BC Goodness to the yanks). Just sayin'
