Canada recognized in the 60's that the Queen and Britain do absolutely fuck all for Canada, and prevented them from ever being able to legislate our shit again.
Our economies are completely seperate. Our dollar is non-dependent on the british pound. We have our own police force, military, and law system. The Crown is simply a figurehead because canada does not want to write it's own constitution and become a republic.
