you do realise that rayn never advocated complete dissolution of the welfare state? She was an objectivist. Her primary message was that of promoting ability over need, and recognition that ability and action are a virtue while being in need is not. Ability and Action are creation and giving, while need is destruction and consumption. However, there is not a single person in the world that does not consume, or destroy. I am an objectivist, and I greatly admire Rand, but I would never suggest that people should not be afforded the protection of the state. It is a philosophy based on science, logic, and reality.
