The part that does the most skattering is the start, imho. Especially if you're busting. Sometimes it just goes EVERYWHERE. As a result of living with many women, I just sit the fuck down. It's easier, less "wipe the seat!!" hassle and I read my phone and often have an unexpected dump. Though, this was to the point that in my shared house last year I refused to clean the toilet seats on these grounds because they often got covered in piss and pubes that wqere not of my colour - this caused arguments.
