World of Warcraft maker limiting forum posting, cross-game chat, other Battle.net features to those who sign up using their real names; user outcry thread tops 30,000 posts.
Great... Now when those fucking chinese hack your battle.net account even though you have a 14 character password, they'll discover your real name too and who knows what else kind of goodies.
dont go to goldsellers/powerleveling sites or other shady sites and plainly just know which sites you are visiting, if you dont put your email out there and dont visit these shit sites you wont get hacked. and for extra security grab you an authenticator.
as far as real id system, only the people you personally add will actually see your first and last names, its not like i can log onto wow and just see your name out in the open and go from there....
easy solution, dont go on the forums (where everyone Will see your shit) dont add people willy nilly be proactive in your security

that wasn't for WoW, it was for Battle.net that works for Diablo, Starcraft and Warcraft. But actually the idea was to implement it on the battle.net forums, but as screecwe said, it was canceled
