Never been a big fan of fender. Back when I used to play before all my equipment got stolen, i was a big fan of EMG and Gibson (Used to have the Zakk Wylde Custom Bullseye Les Paul), and my first guitar which was a P.O.S. Kramer that I put EMG Pickups in and made it sound a hell of a lot nicer

if there was less noise on the looks of the jag it'd look a lot better, but there's all sorts of dots and weird metals on that one
i am indeed in the humbucking gibson school myself, rather with passives than active pickups i must admit. my next guitar will be either a 12 string electric (doubleneck (pref of the sg body) or not) or the gibson tremolo explorer

^prestiges are pretty awesome, and really good value, cos they have just about the same action as the jems have, and i think the jem guitars (and obviously prestige) are about the only non explorer/les paul guitars i'd ever want to own! well, the js series ibanezes are pretty awesome too, feels good to play both sitting and standing! also, this one:

It went out of tune in about one minute of hard playing - the action was stiff - just to keep it tune - it was like playing with razor wire.
But the sound was a awesome level of terrible.
