Fucking geebus tabernacle on a nightstick! Why the hell do I have to learn BASIC!!!!????
*grumble, grumble*
I had to. But I didn't. I spent my time looking cute and taking credit for other people's work. Anyway Visual Basic is fun, all the windows and checkboxes and choicelists and ... all the other stuff I didn't learn.
So have fun.
P.S.
Don't forget to save whole "project" often and copy saved versions to different folders for back-up.
Visual Basic can go very queer on you with your saved work, you might end up punching the screen in a feat of rage, when you accidently rewrite the previous version or lose some data of something you worked on for couple of hours.
^ Oh, that's the icing on the cake of shit. Wait till you lose all your work for the first time, by saving incorrectly or doing something stupid in a hurry.
Learned VB when I was 12/13 also delved a bit into C++ .NET over the years but never really found a need to use it, did a VB project and PIC assembly language in college when I was 18, C while in uni, another VB program at 20 (mates idea was stupid didn't sell well but was easy to make so worth a try), currently using ShiVa engine (LUA script - basically C) to produce a mobile game.

The terminal screens didn't have the output of—
10 print "DigitalAntichrist wuz ere"
20 goto 10
run
permanently burned in them by any chance?
