I'm learning how to do 3d modeling for games. eventually it would be cool to help create some indie games with a friend I have who is heavily into coding and programming

you will never fulfill this goal because you fail at life.
hell of an aspirin bottle there,
LOL
Still, I think you should do so, you already spent half your life in WoW so might as well do something productive with your love for VG and your spare time.
Good luck, Wolffe. Pretty hard without someone training you in their use to be honest.

I'm following very well done beginner tutorials from youtube.
I should have saved this project I was working on while following the tutorial, later this "aspirin" bottle became a cool looking chess piece with a square bottom. I should of posted that here instead

Over the years I've found that Wolffe is actually an amazing self-teacher. He surpasses me in alot of computer based skills that we both spend roughly the same amount of time learning. Mostly because he has less of a life than I.

I lol back at the late 90's early 2000's when someone would download 3DSM, make a torus knot, extrude the living fuck out of it, and call it fractal art

It's because he really only wants to post on TAN all day. Every TAN day however he gets verbally abused till the point of crying, followed by some self teaching.

keep at it wolffe, there's a shitload of really good online tutorials & resources for blender. i'm pretty good with cinema 4d but have recently started playing with blender simply because there is such a helpful online community.
check out this showreel - everything was done in blender
also, for starting out with game creation download a copy of "fps creator" it's pretty basic, but can help you learn the basics of programming & layout design. once you've got the hang of it & blender you can move on to UDK another free piece of software that'll allow you to create amazing games.

An unfinished Leopard 2A4 from around same time I did the T-72...
Both had UE2.5 in mind (not high poly), might use them for a future mobile game though.
