They have all had the honour of playing a Star Trek captain on one of the franchise's hugely successful television shows.
But strangely enough, the five sci-fi TV captains have never appeared all together - until this weekend.
William Shatner, Patrick Stewart, Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew and Scott Bakula all appeared on stage together at the Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con yesterday.

Bakula was in Enterprise, the one with the shittiest gayest theme tune ever.

Don't like Brooks? He was Star Trek's experiment with a dark captain (figurative). He would poison a planet and kill politicians when it helped.

He was by far my favourite captain... quite a complex character by the show's standards.

I remember watching DS9 and hating it. Stopped bothering. Wasnt until years later when I was able to get my hands on the entire series, and was able to watch it in it's entirety that I really appreciated how good it was. Season 1 was boring as hell though. Once the war started...wow

All 7 seasons of all three series? I think you going to have to find a better trade than Twilight!

I have all the ST's on my storage, I revisit every so often. I only watch the last season of voyager because of the effects (if anyone watched that show for story, my god.....). The last 3 seasons of DS9, because it's really only impressive after the war with the Founders starts. TNG I watch the most of the bunch, because that show actually had a story to it and is quite enjoyable. TOS is fun to watch just because the cast is so fucking 60's style awesome in it.

Have you heard that they are releasing a new version of TNG with redone special fx that actually looks pretty amazing:

My order of greatness for these series would be
- The Nexy Generation
- Voyager
- Deep Space 9
- Enterprise
- TOS
And my order for the captains would be- Picard
- Sisko
- Kirk
- Janeway
- Archer
I just couldn't get into Enterprise. While there were a few really good episodes and you learned a lot about the Earth's transition into galactic affairs, the acting was just too goofy. Archer comes off as a wide-eyed child when in reality, the captain of a symbolic ship like the Enterprise was, would have been very by the book and very cautious. With as many eyes on his ship as he had (Earth, Vulcans, Starfleet) he wouldn't have been as loose with regulations for fear of causing an inter-species incident or war.I have all the ST's on my storage, I revisit every so often.
