aren't all air force pilots officers? so it only makes sense they have better accommodations.
This says nothing about being pilots. While you must be an officer to be a pilot, not all air force officers are pilots. Only about 1% of the Air Force are actually pilots or navigators.

Most people in the Air force enlist, just like any other service. I have been told the Air Force has the highest enlistment intelligence requirements, but that comes from those in the Air Force.
Every branch has pilots.

When I did my BARB test my results were in the top 0.2%, and the three services went nuts trying to get me on board with them. I only went in for a brief interview and the test, but they had me shuttled out to their medical facility and put through the full medical that day. After a few hours of discussions it came down to a choice between the Royal Marines or the RAF. I eventually went with the RAF as they offered me the opportunity to do intelligence work, which was what I was after.... though, I have to say, the Marines did tempt me mightily with their promises of months of chin ups ;)

This'd explain your lack of respect for freedom, being in the forces...where order is a requirement and freedom almost ceases to exist.
Wonder if Lith's done conscription...

Could you provide examples where I've shown a lack of respect for freedom?
As for the rest of your amusing wee post... you've clearly got no idea how relaxed things are in the RAF.

Ha ha ! No, I failed psychological examination and got excused for being mad.
They wrote on my military docs that I am done with the army and that I am a "land soldier" of no apparent rank whatsoever. So if there is a war I'm a Shtrafbat cannon fodder. Woo-hoo !

Yeah, I got high marks on the ASVAB, they wanted me to be a nuke, I told them to fuck off. Ended up going for subsurface electronics.

Because they are the dumbest smart people you ever meet. Besides, nuclear power and the inherent risks that come with it aren't really that interesting to me. IT on the other hand is a rich and varied sandbox to play in. I like my current job of making the innanets work...

Along with your original statement this seems to imply that you believe the majority are as opposed to the concept of tax in return for services as you are... do you have any evidence or proof for this?
