I have to agree, shopping for shoes sucks :( Even if you manage to find an amazing pair of shoes after a few hours, they never have it in your size!! GRRR!!
However, good shoes last at least a decade.

Shoes are shoes, dude... I don't think they can be classified as "amazing" unless they have flashing heels and you're 12 :(

Wolffe, I have cats, four of them, but I also have a dog, a big dog, a Rottweiler we've recently taken in.
I used to have a Staffie as a pillow as a child and a German Shepherd as a teenager.
You should heed Shanus' advice, once in a while.

You try walking pretty much continuously all day and tell me how your feet feel. There's shoes, and then there's good shoes.
Cheapo sneakers and crocs are great for everyday stuff where you're not wearing shoes/walking for any greater length of time — at least for me. Casual stuff. That's shoes. Good shoes are for work or anything else where you're wearing shoes 9-6-ish or walk very long distances, comfort, support, "beathing." Good shoes.
I guess it depends on the person and the feet.

Well, either he's 75 pounds soaking wet or he buys a pair of those cheap ass shoes every month. I only buy the best of the best, mostly because I have flat feet and need good support. Even my workboots were 300 bucks. I refuse to buy noname or garbage brands because that's just suicide for your back and feet.

Well the shop I mentioned just has discounted shoes because they're a couple of seasons old. They're still decent shoes and that. And yeah I know what you mean. I've got my every day shoes and I've got some awesome Karrimor Steel toe boots for working in... Both cost me £20 from that shop, though. The boots needed day's wearing in but now they're really comfy, if not heavy. Had them for a few years and they're still the shit and still fairly waterproof.

Wrong and wrong. As I said above they're all branded shoes they're just cheap. IF you wanna go spend a fortune on the "latest fashion" go right ahead but I'll stick to my cheap arse shoes.

Agree with tuoni and Proof: im flat footed like a mawfucca and need a great pair of shoes to accommodate the fallen arches n shit. I get FILA brand shoes(current pair are two years and going strong - and wont break your bank), theyve always seemed to be cushion-y enough that after walking all day my feet wont hurt. Bought a pair of workboots long time back, looked like biker boots, lasted me 5 years till the wife threw them out. Best 70 dollars i ever spent.
