I'm pretty sure socialist and communist communities have religious leaders and spiritual leaders and even guys in charge.
That doesn't mean that they don't start with the basic principle of working together and sharing everything.
Yes, but unfortunately our society has means to store food and goods, leading to concept of personal property, barter, capital and wealth.
Thus we are much more complex than society of "Let's all look for food and share it for survival in one big extended family".

Nah, leadership is alright, leadership comes from the best of the people, but in the end it's those fucking people, they are not up for the task their leadership gives them.
Lazy, selfish ... gits.
Actually it is. All original human societies were socialists. Tribes are socialist in their nature. Socialism is the way communities are formed.
Codswaddle you mumfucker! That would be tribalism. You are not a citizen under a tribal system. You are not autonomous from the the tribe and you deal in honor and preconceived ideas, not the rights of any minority or outsider. You also only get a say if you are in the correct hierarchy.

Well, IMO, personal belief, we're going back to the tribal way of life. Whether it's within the next few years or the next few hundred years, we'll be there again sometime. This modern system we've built cannot be permanently sustained for much longer. We'll go back to a society that lives and trades locally and travels very little. Hopefully we'll still have some form of internet/radio-type communication left, even if slow and dated.

more intelligence = more selflessness. also it is my opinion that others can help you more than you can yourself, so others are in your best interest, not yourself.

Everyone realizes that we all share everything, and they start doing so for the greater good of the populus.
Everybody wins with Socialism. Unless it's fake Socialism. Then 'dey come aftir ower freedumz!'

Do you really believe the way our current society is setup and the way it's going that this technological wonder will last forever?
One day we will sit around tee-pees telling stories of when the world was as it is today, and how sad it was that it could not be maintained.
