I get what ya mean but i'm pretty sure that word doesn't fit there.
Edit: Also if nuclear power plants have catastrophic failures, am i going to learn from that and question whether to create more disasters or am i going to stick my head in the sand?
Catastrophic is a strong word, so I guess it's just a case of weighing up the benefits and risks.
