Okay, a few centuries ago religion was still dominating unquestioned the mentality of humankind. Now we are entering an era where most people are skeptical about "truth" claims. Now, I wonder will science suffer the same fate as religion in a few thousands years when we finally discover some other extraordinary mean that will help us better define reality. Do you think it will be shunned for being ancient/backward or worse "superstitious" (lol). What do you think?

There are known, knowns,
There are known, unknowns,
but there's also unknown, unknowns .

The reason we entered the dark ages previously and science was lost (What were egyptians doing with batteries anyway)? was because people lived in towns geographically separated from each other after the fall of the roman empire and influential people in the village told them shit about ghosts and witches till they were too scared to leave the town. Add a few raiders and other nasties on the road and people kept to themselves and didnt spread knowledge much less scientific knowledge. In todays world of the internet, fibreoptics, and lightning fast communication this will never happen again.
