can't stop him one on one ever, you have to disrupt the players feeding him the ball with physicality from defensive midfielders or some speedy centerbacks to disrupt through balls. A healthy hargreaves paired up with carrick might have helped, by guy is never healthy and Ferdinand isn't particularly fast anymore (was he ever?) and Vidic can't do everything.
