In crime and law, hate crimes (also known as bias-motivated crimes) occur when a perpetrator targets a victim because of his or her perceived membership in a certain social group, usually defined by racial group, religion, sexual orientation, disability, class, ethnicity, nationality, age, gender, gender identity, social status or political affiliation.

Hate crimes are a serious thing & a good idea. Hatred of minority groups has run amok for too long & its about time something was done to protect them.

Hate crimes are completely rediculous. If person A murders person B in cold blood, why does it matter if they did it out of hatred? Murder is still murder and adding on a "Hate crime" charge is completely contradictory to common sense.

On the fence. It's good in certain cases but dumb for others.

Damn it Wolffe, can't you go one minute without posting retarded bullshit. Read the definition of hate crime again. Members of majority groups can be victims of hate crime.
