This would primarily be intended as a fallback plan, a simple forum with no glitter or glamour, for co-ordinating any desire to bring about an alternative, if any — it could always remain as a simple forum, if that is felt to be sufficient. It would have to start out using free hosting and then later on, depending on need and the opinions of the community, moved to paid hosting. Alternatively, if I find something decent for 30-40 e/year, I might go ahead and pay for it myself ;)
It would ultimately be a co-operative effort, where any member can provide whatever skills and/or ideas they may have, if they so wish. Otherwise it'll just be me documenting and presenting my ideas, and then listening to any feedback, hopefully turning it into something concrete sooner or later.
A final option would be to just accept the Mayan prophecy, to part ways, and let the fucked up people of TAN become nothing but a fading and distorted memory, a momentary signal lost in the noise of the internet.

I think a forum would be nice, we already have an IRC channel... so that isn't really ever going away.
