Recently, I was surprised at a comment by Jschick (actually, surprised that she said anything), that led me to suspect that she wishes that mankind did not exist; that the world had been left to the animal kingdom.
I actually hate the growth of human population, especially, the growth in population of the United States.
So, what ya think?

I wish humans had never existed, and kittenz ruled the planet. I wear a flower in my hair & live in California...

The more the merrier, I am looking forward to 2046 and a population of 9 billion - barring Iran getting the Bomb.

We could easily sustain human existence at 7 billion, if we rid the world of the corrupt economic systems and manage our resources properly, use our technology wisely. But that aint gonna happen. So we should shed a few billion. See USA is helping the planet

i voted the first one cuz that world ruled by kittenz sounds mighty fun, but for reals i'd say 2 - 3 billion sounds fine to me.
this exponential growth shit is a bit scary.

Chances are when the shit starts to hit the fan I'd imagine governments would be forced into mass geneicide by secretly implanting a vaccine into a small fraction of the world population followed by some designer virus to slowly kill off the rest in a practical decision to keep the human race living on in practical numbers.
So... how does 1 billion sound?

It'd be way easier to kill all the mudslimes, there's waaay more of them, and none of them are any good in a fight, or a war.

And yet they've kept the world's only superpower from being able to declare victory for over a decade now... not bad for a ragbag militia of ragheads with a few second rate rockets.

they kept the worlds only super power from using a standing army to completely pacify their OWN country? wow. last time the US declared victory (inb4 bush) they had their whole population mobilized to beat ze germans.

Have they, or have they not, helped fuel the debt crisis in the United States by ensuring that defense spending has increased by almost 90% in a decade through two wars?
Have they, or have they not, kept the world's only superpower from declaring victory against a couple of thousand moderately well equipped angry villagers?
The answer to both these questions is - yes. It doesn't matter how you try to dance around the issue. Facts is facts.

also, cast your mind back to the last time that 'the worlds only superpower' tried to pacify a country... i believe that that attempt ended in 1783.
