* Unions are not at fault - for only ONE thing, the disparity of our living wages & benefits are also the fault of our government: Since other countries do not offer job security, decent living wage & minimal benefits - the answer is tariffs to equal out the trade disparity. If for example, a Chinese worker works for next to nothing, has no medical coverage, no retirement, nor ANY benefits, the answer is NOT to lower our workers to the same slave standards...

Or you had to send your 6 or 8 year old kid into the factory or mine, because the wages you were paid by some multi-millionaire was not enough to support your family...and on and on and on... I've been union in the past, both UFCW and Teamsters (talk about mobsters). I'm not anti union. As well Hawks, the majority of the trade unions, carpenters, electricians and laborers place their members with different companies on a regular basis. One job runs out they set you up with someone else. It's a small world there. Employers get word you're a fuck up, union card or not, they won't want you on the job.
