Mostly accurate and still applicable to current times. I hated basic when I joined. It was hell. But ill tell you...as soon as it was over I missed it. Was pretty weird. Really though basic training is there to shock your system into a military life style. The REAL military is nothing like it. It's simply a hurdle all servicemen/women have to get over.
Tuoni is right to a certain extent. This is brainwashing, but it has been going on in every country and nation for who knows how long. It's just that the states have perfected the machine, the only problem is, like the video said, is you have to get em while they are young, or else they won't feel connected to the "reason" to fight.
A bunch of brainwashed retards dressed up like people. Don't let them fool you. They are among us.
A necessary evil, if you want to call it that. The military experience can also provide order to a previously chaotic life. Everybody's brainwashed to some degree by parents, schooling and peers. No one grows up without outside influences dictating measured responses. Your comment is merely an example of an opposite extreme.

That was one of the parts of the documentary I didnt agree with. The main reason they want soldiers to be fresh out of HS is because soldiering takes a toll on your body. Especially the lower enlisted. The main reason i think its easier to get an 18 year old versus say a 30 year old is because 18 in the US is a watershed age. Thats when you start on whatever path youd like. You don't have a spouse most likely, don't have a college education yet, and really no major roots. Considering how large of a step joining the armed forces is, thats the perfect time to give someone the option to join.
Now on the other hand i've met a few people who joined up in their late 20's even a 32 year old. They absolutely love it.
lol
Says the one who is brainwashed into obsession over anything japanese and wishes they lived in soviet russia...the epitome of brainwashing.

Oh, so now you're paranoid too. Afraid the japanese and russians are out to get you? Better not turn off the lights when you go to sleep!
Yes, and we're all out to get you using our brainwashed ways.
