I thought it was worth re-creating a fresh clean slate where TANs fellow Canadians can come together and decide what to do about our precious young country, after watching "Oh Canada - Our bought and Sold out Land". Canadians only please, unless you are seriously contributing. Please respe
I can attest to this. I honestly didn't know we had a Canadian Constitution and I only recall learning about the Canadian Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms in elementary or early junior high. And who's going to remember or be interested in that when you're 12-14 years old??To really make any kind of difference it has to start at a grass roots level that forces politicians to actually speak for the people, and ask the right questions to obtain the resolve we really need...........this would require a whole lot work by individuals who know whats really going on, to teach the ones who don't......in essence video's such as this would have to go viral in Canada. Canadians are usually pretty docile, so its a difficult task. So I would say that Canada's only hope to turn these messages into action would require our younger people. People who are notorious for not voting in Canada, and for a good reason. They never get involved in politics because they either:
A.They don't understand whats going on in ways that affect them personally or how it applies to them.
B. Doesn't apply to them at all, for issues such as health care, or savings for CPP.
C. They have no one that speaks for them, and therefore doesn't speak to them.
If it were possible to organize some kind of party with real leaders who speak to young Canadians, who not only tell the truth, but can also sell the importance of change in the ways that actually help, but also expose the other major Canadian parties for the corrupt organizations that they are and why. To actually teach what is the Canadian constitution, as it is almost a lost document in Canada, as its never spoken of, and most people probably don't even know that we have one. To provide them with a hope that if they were to vote it would actually mean something, that the party they voted for would actually speak for them.
It seems like a pipe dream, and for a large part it probably is. Enlightened people who know why things should change have been around for a long time. If anything this knowledge isn't new, but rather swept under the rug as politics is a dry topic, and most young people couldn't give a fuck. If its not to resume being that 'pipe dream' we actually need to find people who know how to raise importance and awareness to new voters regarding a true cause, and to excite them with things that hit home for them personally. Is it possible, ofcourse, is it likely? Well I wouldn't be so confident.
