Social anarchists oppose the state for two main reasons: because it is an institution of class domination, and because it is a structure of hierarchical power, a structure of domination in its own right.
This is true. Way back probably from the beginning of the civilization, say Cavemen tribes. One would rise above the rest through water means or coincidental events (say one of the cavemen learning how to use a weapon before the rest) and he would then rise to chief.
Really? Got any evidence for this wildly speculative theory?
It is this system of government and microgovernment that has prevailed through time. Thinking of it further the constitutional republic of the United States of America is probably the freest "All the People Rule" type systems ever devised.
And Jefferson is often quoted by anarchist theorists. But lets not forget that the founding fathers kept slaves. Besides, the system they set up is largely irrelevant now. True, they wanted to guard against centralisation of state power, but said nothing of centralisation of corporate power because it didn't exist.
I didn't read much of the article but I stopped because Socialism is wrong.
You should have read it. You might have learned something.
So read my lips:
Sorry, I can't see them.
A PERFECT SOCIALIST SOCIETY CAN NEVER BE CREATED BY IMPERFECT MEN (And I mean women and men when I say that, fucking political correctness is killing me. I want to say MANKIND or 'The Empire of Man' and nothing else). It will ALWAYS be abused and twisted by the few for their own benefit and usual misery for the rest of the masses. The only way you could ever come even close to a Socialist utopia is if you designed extremely advanced AI beings that would run every facet of society from a Socialist stance so that Imperfect human beings could never meddle and use the power for their own advantage. But even then it could be prone to abuse (Such as the programmers programming the AI with some kind of loophole, or who knows, the AI could use the power for its own kind etc).
Let me respond in the only way you'll understand:
You didn't read the article. You don't understand what it was about. You have no idea what you are talking about.
